Top: My dad's. Bodysuit: American Apparel. Shoes: Converse. Cross necklace: Forever 21. Pearls: My mom's.

Thought I'd go for a Molly Ringwald/80s/Didn't give a shit look today. I was originally going to wear my new YRU Qozmo sneakers, but I knew I'd be doing too much walking to be in 4 inch platforms all day. I just love my Converse. These beat-up ass sneakers have been with me since middle school. That's a long ass fucking time.

Last time I wore this bodysuit, it was Halloween. Guess who I was.
Give up? I was Alex DeLarge from A Clockwork Orange. In 2011, I became a little obsessed with that movie and its imagery. And I was a little too amused by that rape scene when he was singing "I'm Singin' in the Rain." Whatever. I have issues.

By the way, whoever said being a journalist was fun lied. There's nothing fun about transcribing a bunch of interviews. Word for word. God-DAYUM this is tedious. I just want to sleep. The third season of True Blood is my background music, and I'm slowly contemplating a junk-food induced nap because I just can't deal. Never getting sick again.

By the way, that Lumineers CD sucks. It was boring as hell. All that excitement for shit.

Top: Urban Outfitters. Blazer: H&M. Necklace: Nastygal. Pants: American Apparel. Shoes; Doc Martens.

The pants have made another appearance. What can I say? They're fabulous. I'd make a short little anecdote about this outfit--another 90s channeling, yadda yadda--but I have to tell you guys something.

DON'T. EVER. FUCKING. CATCH. STREP. THROAT. THIS SHIT SUCKS SO MUCH FUCKING BALLS, IT IS RIDICULOUS. IT HURTS TO SWALLOW. I'VE BEEN THROWING TEMPER TANTRUMS LIKE A CHILD. I SKIPPED WORK AND SCHOOL ON TWO SEPARATE OCCASIONS BECAUSE I JUST CAN'T DEAL. UGH. FUCKING BLOODY HELL.

*composes self* Okay. That is all. By the way, the title is inspired by Rooney and my blue blazer. I miss the days of those pop-punk bands when they were super relevant. And with Fall Out Boy reuniting and stuff, it makes me wax nostalgic. Back in high school, all I did was fangirl over FOB, My Chemical Romance, and Panic! at the Disco. (Other bands too, but they were my top three.) *sighs* Those were the days.

Fashion: Polka Dots and Florals

GEDC2264
Jacket: Don't remember. Dress: Forever 21. Hat: Beauty Supply. Boots: Forever 21. Necklaces: Forever 21.

GEDC2247
Blazer: H&M. Top: Urban Outfitters. Shoes: Urban Outfitters. Necklace: Forever 21. Leggings: American Apparel

Two outfits I've worn this week. As you can see, I went for the indie/hipster theme, and the American Apparel whore theme. One with army colors, the other extremely colorful.

Ever feel like your life is just dragging? I start my last year of college in about three weeks, and I just feel so...MEH. Honestly, can we just fast forward to me accomplishing shit and living on my own and whatnot? I'm over this. And you know your life is lame when your proudest accomplishment of the day involves a well-placed Hugh Hefner joke. About how old he is. And how his dick probably doesn't work anymore.

Add this to my extreme inability to acquire any sort of requited love, and yep. Lameness. I guess I should just throw myself into my career and get some cats. No, fuck that. I hate cats. They're the dumb blonde un-fun bitches of pets.

Fashion: 1 Skirt, 3 Looks

Instead of going out into the Sahara Desert to partake in 4th of July activities, I thought of something way better: take a sequin mini, and style it three ways. Here we have the copycat Sienna Miller, the Semi-Platonic-But-Not-Really Date, and the Me-and-My-Girls-'Bout-to-Regret-What-We-Did-the-Night-Before.

Outfit 1: The Copycat Sienna Miller
Before you peep my outfit, check out Sienna Miller's look in an old NYLON magazine.

From the 80sPurple Website
I got the inspiration because her look was so playful yet pulled together. If only I had black Creepers, I could have really managed a copycat style, but lo and behold, I bought the white ones. Anyhoo, scroll down.

Shirt: Miley Cyrus for Max Azria
T-shirt: Forever 21
Skirt: Random Beauty Supply Store
Shoes: Creepers by Demonia
Sunglasses: H&M

Sequins in the daytime may scare people, but if you tame everything else and treat it like its a normal piece, then you should have no problem. Even the Creepers are casualized when you throw on a denim shirt.

I freaking love these sunglasses.
Outfit 2: The Semi-Platonic-But-Not-Really Date

Blazer: H&M
Necklace: Forever 21
Shoes: Urban Outfitters
Bag: H&M

Flirty but not really flirty! For the girl who can't decide if this guy is actually worth something or is just a jerkass who's paying for dinner and movie to get his dick sucked in the end. The cross will let him know to keep his distance, but the heart lets him know that he may get some loving if he plays his cards right. Plus, adding a blazer just makes you look smart, right? You can't be that skanky if you're wearing a very prominent symbol of the business world. No matter how boldly colored it is.

Outfit 3: The Me-and-My-Girls-'Bout-to-Regret-What-We-Did-the-Night-Before

Jacket: Forever 21
Mesh Dress: American Apparel
Necklace: Random store
Shoes: Forever 21

If your goal is to be naked, you are looking for trouble. Add the leather jacket, and...yeah. Basically, the whole point of this look is to be as skanky as you want. You're with your girlfriends, and they don't care, because they most likely look the same. I wanted a badass look. But because I can't be too naked, I decided the leather jacket would cover me up. Open-toed booties are a bit masculine, to complete the look. And the drunk texts you sent to your friends the night before? Priceless.

Happy 4th of July, everyone! Let us congratulate the country that's slowly fucking us in the asses without Vaseline with fireworks and unlimited liquor!

Fashion: 3 Looks

Per how hectic my weeks have been lately--school, work, and trying to hang out with my friends in between--I try to be as fashionable as possible without losing my mind in the process. So my looks usually tend to go from random adjectives. Like, for example: Electric Hippie Mexican. Sexy Lumberjack. Nineties Floral Enthusiast. You get the idea. Here are some of the looks I've done this past week.

Outfit 1
Poncho: Urban Outfitters
Necklace: Forever 21
Boots: Dr. Martens

A little backstory on the poncho (and a reason why you should always wait until shit goes on sale!). I was derping around at Urban Outfitters, thinking I'm balling because I got my student refund check, and everyone knows student refund = go buy a bunch of random shit because the government reimbursed you. Most of my money goes toward clothes. I spent at least $50 on this damn psychedelic, fashion-hippie looking, wearable blanket, only to discover a few months later that the Urban Outfitters outlet had the same damn ponchos for TEN. DOLLARS. I'm done.

Outfit 2
Jacket: Forever 21
Shirt: Urban Outfitters
Skirt: H&M
Socks: PayHalf
Boots: Bongo for KMart

So when you wear a plaid shirt, you automatically feel like a lumberjack, right? Add a leather jacket with a bunch of buttons--which you can't see...sorry!--and this makes a perfect concert outfit. I was expecting some guy who looks like Justin Vernon to walk next to me so people could think we were a couple. Wearing this outfit, I got soooo many looks. I don't know if it was the skirt or the hair. But whatever it was, some dude at least a block ahead of me kept looking back, and then tapped his friend to make him turn around. Also, word to the wise, when you wear a short skirt and you have a huge ass, you will be continuously pull it down over and over again. This process will make you feel like a whore. End of the story? If you have a big ass and you wear a short skirt, you are a whore. And creepy guys in trucks will honk at you.

Outfit 3
Vest: Thrift (But technically it's my mom's.)
Shirt: Urban Outfitters
Leggings: American Apparel
Boots: Dr. Martens

And here we have my ode to the nineties-ish look. Soon as you pair florals and Docs, you're gunning for a nineties-inspired look. If I could, I'd add florals, flannels, and Docs to every look I possibly can. There's just something about the 90s that was so...right. The fashion, the music, the television. Ugh. Do not get me started. Where the fuck is this generation headed...okay, I'm digressing.
